4th Grade Scientist Comics
Fourth graders have been studying the scientists who contributed to our understanding of electricity (SOL 4.3f) so we created comics about them using ComicLife. I gave them a template and a folder of pictures to use which you can download here. I showed the students how to change the title using the Style button and the Details tab. Next they dragged a picture of each scientist (Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Edison, and Michael Faraday) into the boxes and labeled them. Then they added a speech bubble to each scientist explaining what he did. They could also use the Style button to change the look of the photos. Finally they added their own photo using the webcam feature and wrote about their favorite electrical invention. Take a look at some student samples by clicking here.
