Ms. Favale, first grade teacher at Holladay, wanted her students to take pictures of themselves so she could make a back-to-school night slideshow.  Even on the first day of school, these very young first graders were able to log in, open up Photo Booth and take a snapshot.  Some even took more than one!  They were asked to take a normal picture for the parent slideshow, but then they could experiment with the different effects. Letting students experiment on their own is a great way to let them learn about the computer.  An article I read this summer on an <a href=\"http:\/\/committedsardine.com\">educational blog<\/a> told about an experiment where they put computers in slums in India just to see if the children could figure them out on their own&#8230; and they did!
