Ms. Kowalczyk and her first grade class learned about mixtures.  The first graders learned that rocks, sand, and soil do not mix with water.  We also used the Pro Scope to take a closer look.  They learned that drink mix, sugar, and salt do mix with water.  Did you know that oil floats on top of the water?

Mr. Applegate’s second graders wrote about Helen Keller.  They learned how to type in Pages.  They did a fabulous job!
