The blue and gold stars from Ms. Hanks class completed their plants and people needs. Mrs. Beagle’s and Mrs. Moore’s kindergarten’s classes learned about recycling. Ms. Gioia’s class made a Keynote on maps. Students had to recognize the United States, Virginia, Richmond, Washington, D.C. Once they complete their Keynotes, we exported them as a Quicktime. mapsmaps-2

Today, Mrs. Harrison’s first grade students learned a little more about recycling. Mrs. Quesenberry’s, Mrs. Turner’s, Ms. Donaghy’s, and Ms. Cioffi’s third grade classes worked on the explorer projects in Pixie. Students recorded their voices as if they were passengers with the explorers. This week they are going to color the backgrounds. When I return, we are going to turn the slides into a movie. Columbus

Mrs. Hill’s and Mr. Applegate’s second graders typed documents in Pages. Mrs. Hill’s class wrote about what it would be like if they were President. Mr. Applegate’s students wrote about the life cycle of a frog. Both classes did a fantastic job typing what they wrote into Pages.

Ms. Schemmel’s second graders wrote thank you postcards in Pixie. They received a listening center. They all wrote thank you’s to Linda G. The second graders were studying economics. Today I had the privilege of working with a small group from Mrs. Hobbs’ first grade class. These students illustrated plants and labeled the parts of the plants as well as the needs of plants. The students did a fabulous job. Check out their work! hobbs-flowers

Today, Ms. Schemmel’s class had to pretend that they were ancient Egyptians. They had to create a Pixie picture with their own image in the past as a Pharoah, a Queen, a Sphinx, or a sarcophagus.
